  • ok so i got some concerns and questions. I have been working out sense June. Before i started working out i was at 215 Lbs mind u i play football and iam in martial arts. When i started working out i lost weight and now at 160lbs. I was told that insulin adds to my weight. Now my question is could i use that same concept to add to my muscle mass or would it go straight to my fat deposits. My other question is it safe to loose that much weight as a 18 year old and as a diabetic

  • Hi,

regarding weight, All I would say is maintain the right BMI and stay closely in touch with your endo or diabetologist. Regd. the weight increase due to insulin. If u r exercising right, the same insulin will work straight to ur muscle mass instead of fat. Hope this helps
