I'm also new to Juvenation! I've always wanted to know somebody else that has diabetes :) I've had type 1 diabetes for about five years, I think. I was quickly able to get it under control, but then I started to get lazy about taking care of myself and was in self denial about diabetes for awhile, but now I am back on track and excited to get this under control and have an awesome HbA1c!!! :D

Forum Post: Re: Hi I'm Kaden

Shot the Dog sounds pretty cool. When I was a kid I practiced giving shots to my teddy bear.

My son is 6 and loves Super Mario 3D. I'm terrible at it and he always beats me.

-Jenna

Forum Post: Re: Son diagnosed Sept. 2011

My 6 yr old son was just diagnosed w/T1 late August. It has been a complete whirlwind. My son is awesome with everything. He was giving himself shots the day after his daignosis. His father and I on the other hand have had a difficult time with the worrying and feeling so "bad" that we "gave" this to him. He went on the pump in November and he has been thriving in sports & school. It has been inspiring to watch him grow.

Forum Post: Re: Hey there!
