  • Can anyone advise on a good endo who is part of the Anthem Blue Cross network in San Francisco.  I am just getting coverage with my job and need to make a choice.

  • Hi James,

I don't know if you've found anyone yet, but I used to have Anthem Blue Cross HMO and I love Dr. Cheng-Yang Christian Tuan.  Luckily, when my insurance changed to Cigna HMO, he accepts that as well, so I'm still with him.  He's excellent, a really compassionate and understanding endo.  He really works with you, your life style, and concerns.  He's actually the 1st endo I've ever liked.  This is his office info:

    Cheng-Yang Christian Tuan, M.D.

1580 Valencia St., Ste. 102, San Francisco, CA 94110

    Office:  415-695-7661  Fax:  415-695-7665

Don't be discouraged by his nurse & staff though...they seem really busy and rude at times, but they are sweethearts once they get to know you.  There's a parking garage under the building, the entrance is off of Duncan I think & it's $4 for an hour or something like that.  There's also street parking, if you can find any.
