Since today's Friday Zac and I talked about going out to eat after he gets off work. We love eating out on the weekend. But being a diabetic eating out can be tricky.
The first thing that gets me is when they get my drink wrong. I can't drink regular, plus it tastes totally gross.
Then even though I have one of the carb books for food places, not all restaurants are in there. And yes, some places have a list of their nutrition facts, alot don't. So I usually end up guessing, which makes my blood sugars high.
Another problem I have is dessert. I love sweets. Crazy hard to resist.
Some how I make this stuff work, just curious if others have these same issues.
That is one beautiful picture.
To answer your question, I don't have much of a problem avoiding sweets. In addition to T1 I have multiple food allergies, including casein and whey (so all dairy products) and tree nuts. So usually the only thing I can eat for dessert is sorbet...err, it's good but it doesn't have what it takes to make me drool lol.
Did I mention that is a beautiful picture? It almost looks romantic, like spoon and fork on their honeymoon before they made the fateful decision to have spork.
I just felt the post needed a picture lol. I'm big on pictures.
Sorry to hear about your allergies. Im not a big sorbet person either. However, like I said I have a weakness for sweets.
