Holiday Candy. Seriously not helpful.

  • Comments 6

I'm sitting at my desk at work right now, where I should be working, but I'm not. There's this employee contribution campaign for Community Health Charities going on. We do fund-raising in the office, and the employee council makes it "fun" by having a theme and games and such. Ok, so anyway. As part of this, I have been given candy from someone. (Basically, some one makes a donation in honor of something I did and my treat is the candy.)

It's so tempting!

This time of year is ridiculous in my office. There is always candy and treats and this, that and the other thing around here! It's no wonder the average American gains 7 lbs over the holidays. I wonder what the stats are on the curvature of the graph of a diabetic's glucose reading over the course of January. It would probably resemble the Rocky Mountains.

We are bombarded with food for an entire month! How am I possibly supposed to lose the weight I need to lose in order to feel even remotely comfortable on a beach in January? Don't these people know I don't need this stuff? It messes with my sugar levels, it'll only screw up my diet, and I love chocalate. Always have. It's genetic - on my mother's side, there's a strong sweet tooth that's been passed down to each generation.

Ugh! And it's even got the mini peanut butter cup things, which are just about my favorite thing.

I should shove it in my backpack and take it home for someone else. I mean I should right? Right?

Yeah...I should.

mmmmm.....peanut butter.......

  • BrianC,

Yeah - go ahead and throw it in your purse <eg> *duck*

    Good luck, man – BRUTAL!

    A-D

  • Dude, it's not a purse.

  • If your workplace has a breakroom or kitchen, leave them there.  I'm sure someone will snatch them within minutes.  :D

  • Brian, seriously want to know what I would do.

Scarf it down bolus and wait for the high to happen lol

Or you can do what Joe said and leave it in the kitchen. But that is so boring lol

    mmmmmm peanut butttttteeeeeeeeerrr
