Newly Diagnosed...

  • Comments 4

Hi, my name is Caitlin and I am new to this site. I wanted somewhere where I could talk to other diabetics since I dont have any friends that have it...I was diagnosed on March 20th after being in the hospital for a week due to my super high blood sugar of 680. So far I havent had many problems I'm just sorta tired of it....and I'm only 3 months into it....

Other than being a diabetic, I enjoy playing soccer and hanging out with friends and family....

  • Hi!  Welcome to Juvenation!  Being a newbie to diabetes can be scary and overwhelming.  I was diagnosed when I was 10.  25 years later, I still have bad days!  Just try to take one day at a time.  It isn't going away!  You have found a good place for lots of support and advice!  Check into some local affiliations where you live!  Hang in there!  Better days are ahead!

  • Hey Caitlin!

I should have you write back and forth with my son---he spent all of his Spring Break this year in ICU finding out about his over 900 blood sugar.  Welcome to this roller coaster ride!!!

I'll have him seek you out so you have someone to commiserate with!  Just kidding!  Hang in there!
