Hello all of my Juvenator friends! Sorry my Friday Five is late but, I was at the Roche Blogger Summit in San Diego the past couple of days and had some technical difficulties trying to get things posted.
Here is your Friday Five on Saturday!!
1. While I was in San Diego we had a special guest speak to our group; Jeffrey Brewer CEO of JDRF! It was really an honor to meet him! So stay tuned for my Roche Social Media Summit recap and video (which I hope came out ok!) right here on my Juvenation blog!
2. VOTE for your favorite design in the JDRF Design Your Own Race Car Contest! Visit http://www.jdrf.org/ford by June 30th! This is the 4th year that JDRF has teamed up with Ford Motor Company for this campaign. The winning artwork will be featured on the Wood Brothers Racing's famous No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion driven by Daytona 500 Champion Trevor Bayne at the Michigan 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, August 21 at Michigan International Speedway.
3. One of our members, Kim V, came up with a fabulous idea for a video project called, “You Can Do This”. I participated in creating a video along with a few other folks from JDRF. You can view our video here: juvenation.org/.../168965.aspx
4. This has been an amazing week for diabetes in the media, partly due to JDRF’s Children’s Congress taking place from Monday-Wed. Check out Kevin Kline and Aaron Kowalski being interviewed about diabetes by CNN! am.blogs.cnn.com/.../actor-kevin-kline-advocates-for-diabetes-research
5. The BIO International Convention and the ADA Scientific Sessions are also happening this weekend and next week. Check out www.jdrf.org and the JDRF News Blog for highlights in the next few days.
