pump decision...

Currently deciding which pump to get. I can't decide between Animas onetouch ping and the omnipod. I think it's kinda ridiculous, people keep telling me to get the omnipod because nick jonas has it. I'm just like, " really people. what does that have to do with me and what my body needs?". I like nick jonas but getting a certain pump just because he has it is going a little too far.

  • i completly agree! i am switching pumps too and i'm leaning twoards the ping. i know someone with the omnipod and she says its annoying because its so big and bluky and the adhisive sicks too well

  • If you look at my blog history I did an evaluation of both the Ping and Medtronic pump. I really love my Ping. The omnipod is a great idea and so many people on here love the pod, sometimes though their joy seems to enthusiastic and I wonder if these are false people created to generate buzz on the product. The Omnipod is still in its original stages. Their first pump. I loved the idea and concept but to me it is still to new to the game to fall in love with, not to mention the negatives I have heard about the pods, i.e. size and some adhesive issues. However, the same can be said with the bulk of pumps and not being able to hide them everywhere and the fact that the tubing is all over the place. Best of luck in your decision. If you have any questions on the Ping feel free to ask me.
