Today, another child joined us as a Type 1 diabetic. He's 4, and apparently, he's not doing so well. He is at Texas Children's Hospital, and I would like to visit him to let him know that everything will be alright. I know things are crazy right now, and things seem so overwhelming, but please know you are not alone. There is an entire community waiting to help you and be there for you. Use all the resources you can and know that in time, you will feel more confident in taking care of your little boy. This is a life changing moment for you - but know that God has a plan. We have to have faith. All things happen for a reason. My daughter asked me today why she is the one with diabetes....I had to be honest and tell her I didn't know. I do know that there must be a plan for her that is greater than we know. God bless and know that there are prayers being said for you.
