Well we had our First Annual "Hoops For A Cure" Basketball Tournament on Saturday March 14th and we brought home just over $800.00 from the event!!!! This money that was raised will go to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), and towards my son and another boy from our community for the WALK TO CURE DIABETES on May 2, 2009. Here are pictures of the winners of the basketball tournament.. This was the first place winners...MCM Church..with their trophy ..my son Ryan is the littlest boy and Jarred is the bigger one...they both have Juvenile Diabetes..and the only ones in our community that we are aware of. These guys won second place...Beason Masonry....with their trophy..and the little girl wanted in the picture too, lol. Both of these teams started out at 8:00 in the morning..so they were EXHAUSTED when they left...the tournament ended at 7:30 that evening! They worked so hard and helped us so much...we just can't thank them enough for this! I wanted to share this with you all.....we are looking forward to next year...for the Second Annual "Hoops For A Cure"!
