Raw Diet
Rachel
Has anyone tried the Raw Diet? I have a couple friends who think that it is something that I should try (as they now eat raw) I am kinda skeptical of it. I know I need to ask my Dr. at my next appointment but I was interested to see if anyone else has tried it, and if it has helped the diabetes at all...

Weight gain and lows
Heather Guy
I now weigh more than I have ever weighed in my entire 27 years (I'm 17 pounds overweight according to my scale). About a month ago I started having some odd highs out of nowhere, my husband and I thought I might be pregnant, but that turned out not to be the case. I went to see my endo to adjust...

Novolog=Weight Gain
acousticmelo
Alright here we go. I have never been overweight or even border line, but now I am creeping ever so slightly over the line. I started taking Novolog (instead of Apidra) at the end of December 2010. Since then I have gained an additional 12 pounds. Now I exercise (cardio and strength), and have a pretty...

My new diet
Max
Hey Juvenation friends and others- I recently started a new diet recommended to me by a guy who generally creates nutrition and diet plans for MMA fighters and pro wrestlers. I told him my goals, which were essentially to get leaner and stronger so that I'd ultimately become a better hill climber...

My blood glucose levels don't like NY...
Matt Johnson
I was just in NY for a few days this past week & weekend, and I have to say that my glucose levels don't like NY bagels and pizza. It's my second visit and both were for weddings, so there's also a lot of food. Fortunately for me this isn't an everyday occurrence and my normal diet...

There's Too Much of Me

For much of my life I've been a skinny guy. At one time, for a long time, I was too skinny. People would talk about my needing to put some meat on my bones. Then about ten years ago I mention to my doc how I was draggin' my butt, had no energy, etc. He decides to test my thryoid and - bingo....

Choose Joy

Life is precious! Perhaps even more so to those of us who get to experience it in bursts of on/off, a rollercoaster of high energy (great bg), feeling like we're slogging though mud (high bg), and moments where our only thought is obtaining food - now (low bg). We get to be responsible for ourselves...

Holiday Candy. Seriously not helpful.

I'm sitting at my desk at work right now, where I should be working, but I'm not. There's this employee contribution campaign for Community Health Charities going on. We do fund-raising in the office, and the employee council makes it "fun" by having a theme and games and such....
