Ok so i have insurance, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and with my insurace my testing strips are 50.00$ Who can i call or what can i do to get some kind of assistance with this, i will be starting insulin soon and i can only imagine how much all this will cost me, Help....

My 13yr old daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 in February of this year. She cks her blood sugar at least 4 times daily and does her insulin shots at least 4 times daily. Mo, You just reminded me that my son expressed that same issue when his insulin came straight from fridge as well. It reminded me that that is why we always keep a bottle at room temperature even though he is on a pump. Lorraine

My son is 11 (well 12 come July) and he too wears his pump in his pocket. He'll clip it to the inside of his pocket when he wears the clip or just put it down into his pocket when he has it in the case.
