StephJP
Hi, Any backcountry skiiers out there? This has been my first season with the Minimed VEO insulin pump , and I've noticed some interesting things. If I have the radio functions ON (i.e., connect to meter or to sensor), my avalanche beacon (Pieps DSP) doesn't seem to give a good directional signal...

Hi, First time poster here, but I think it's about time I look to the people who know the most about diabetes for some advice (that is, those who are living with it!). I've had type 1 for almost 20 years (since age 7) and my A1c has been creeping up and up over the years. For the first decade...

I am currently using an Omnipod pump, (and a Dexcom CGM) and have been since 2010. I have been having A LOT of issues...

My 13yr old daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 in February of this year. She cks her blood sugar at least 4 times daily and does her insulin shots at least 4 times daily. School starts in about a month and we have been talking about the pump. She is in Band, Cards & Marching Band. And she feels ashamed...

Currently deciding which pump to get. I can't decide between Animas onetouch ping and the omnipod. I think it's kinda ridiculous, people keep telling me to get the omnipod because nick jonas has it. I'm just like, " really people. what does that have to do with me and what my body needs...

The A-List: The Basics
Angie
The A-List is my way of sharing an ongoing list of what's up in the life of a regular gal. I won't pretend to be perfect or bore you with blood sugar trends but what I will do is invite you in to see what's going on behind the curtain. I almost feel as if I should begin by saying something...
