Thanks for Participating in the CC11 Contest on Facebook!

  • Comments 6

Yesterday was the final day of the 2011 Children’s Congress (CC11) Contest on Facebook, so thanks to those of you that participated by submitting your applications during August!

We’ll be conducting a random drawing later in September to select the winner of the contest. Stay tuned for the announcement because we want you to be there when we select the winner.

Although the CC11 Contest on Facebook is over, you can still submit your application using Facebook. By applying on Facebook you can help us spread the word about the importance of working with Congress to make tomorrow a better day for those with type 1.

We look forward to your applications! Remember the deadline to submit your CC11 applications is 5pm (EDT) on Monday, October 4, 2010.

  • So was this our official entry, or do we have to do another one on the JDRF website?

  • Were we supposed to receive some type of confirmation that we submitted our application on fb?? We never did and I sent a message trying to confirm!!  Was that our formal application or do we need to do it again through jdrf website??

  • I had the same question. It isn't clear if those who applied via Facebook in August and aren't selected via the random drawing -- will they then be automatically included with the rest of the entries and reviewed? or do we have to rebsubmit.

    Thanks!

  • Thanks for the questions and all good ones!

If you submitted your application on FB during August you will be part of the contest. If you are not selected, your application will still be reviewed as part of the usual selection process regardless of how it was submitted, be it FB, the CC website, or via mail.

If submitted via FB, no email confirmation was provided but you would have had the option to post a status update about having submitted the application. That option would have only come up if your application was received correctly.

Hope this helps, but feel free to contact me sshah@jdrf.org if you have any additional questions. Thanks and good day!

    Hasan

  • Our intention was to make some updates to the application submitted on facebook and submit before the October 4th deadline.  If we do that, what is best way to get updated version to you?

    Thanks
