The artificial pancreas has demonstrated remarkable results in the hospital setting, and now trials need to be conducted in the outpatient or "real world" setting. However, the FDA needs to provide clear and reasonable guidance for outpatient trials to begin. It is important that you email your Members of Congress to encourage them to sign a letter to FDA Commissioner Hamburg regarding the need for clear and reasonable guidance on the artificial pancreas. Please take a moment and EMAIL your Member of Congress about this issue NOW.
