JDRF 2011 Children's Congress Video Highlights – Day 3

  • Comments 2

‘…do a little poke here and do that 10 or 12 times a day and that’s how you check your blood’, as Kiki from Washington State explained to his senator, Maria Cantwell. Thanks to all the Members of Congress who took time to meet with the 2011 Children’s Congress delegates. Your time for the children means the world to them!

This clip covers the following highlights:

* Capitol  Hill meetings
* Senate hearing on diabetes: TRANSFORMING LIVES THROUGH DIABETES RESEARCH. You can read the text and watch the full hearing here, http://1.usa.gov/jdaZZ8.

  • Check out what Kendall Simmons had to say about the 2011 Children’s Congress before the Role Models

  • This video brings back so many memories of Children's Congress 2009, when my daughter Krista, was the delagate from Alaska.  It was such a powerful and life changing experience for both of us.  Thank you JDRF and all those working hard toward finding a cure and supporting those until there is one!
