Well, that didn't take long! When I posted yesterday's Valentine's update, I was wondering when we would reach the mark of 100 meetings left to schedule. That number was reached within minutes of my post! In fact, as I was writing this celebratory post, one more meeting was entered, bringing our total number of meetings left to schedule to 99.
The Promise meeting that brought us to magic number 332 was with Representative Cynthia Lummis, who is the at-large Representative for the state of Wyoming. Congratulations to Advocacy Team Chair Donna Murray for scheduling the meeting that brought us to this important milestone!
Reaching 332 is especially exciting for all of us here at JDRF Advocacy because that means from here on out, we are in the double digits in our count of meetings left to schedule. Additional thanks and congratulations go out to Advocacy Team Chair Karen Graffeo and the advocates at the Greater New Haven Chapter for scheduling a meeting with Representative Rosa DeLauro (CT-3) that brought us into the double digits of meetings to go!
We could not have reached this amazing milestone without the tireless efforts of our Campaign Coordinators and advocates like you. Thank you to all of our advocates and coordinators for their hard work. However, we can't let up yet! We still need those remaining 99 to get us to our goal. Want to know how you can help? Sign up to attend or coordinate your own Promise meeting, or email us at advocacy@jdrf.org and let us know you want to help. We will set you up with all of the information and support you need to make a difference for those living with type 1 diabetes.
Thanks for the shout out - I'm so glad that getting my meeting on the books pushed us into the double digits of meetings left to go. It's a great reminder of how important each and every meeting is in reaching our 432 goal.
