9.7? what type of meter do you use?
Tremayne Sirmons 9.7? what type of meter do you use?
a non-american one =P
americans use mg/L, the rest of the world(I haven't heard of any country yet that doesn't, but don't quote me on this!) uses mmol/L
my 9.7mmol/L is 174.6mg/L. you x18 to get mmol/L = mg/L, or /18 to get mg/L = mmol/L
at 2:30am I was awaken by a blood glucose of 60.
I ate ice cream and cookies, went back to sleep
at 8:14am I was pushing 221.
I hate the lows...they make me hugry and I always over eat.
94 2 hours after lunch. Needless to say, I was happy!
Diagnosed as Type 1 in 1984. All three of my children are also Type 1
Tremayne - those middle of the night lows always do me in. My worst was a 27 at 3:30am and when I got up (at normal time) at 6am it was in the 300s.
My last number right before lunch was 132.
Corrected diagnoes T1 July 2010.Animas Ping November 2010.
November 2011 A1C = 7.4
Batts - you're totally wrong. :-) Here's an awesome chart of countries and the measurements they use - it looks to be about half and half.

68. And I'm pretty sure I've been riding it for a while without realizing. My CGM said 82, but it's been 12 hours since I calibrated, so It asked for a finger stick, and I got 68. I'm sick of fruit snacks.
When you have a good day, take the credit. When you have a bad day, blame the disease and vow to do better tomorrow.
Over 600... ewwwww.
Has anyone heard anything about Frank and his transplant? Just wondering?? Haven't heard anything lately. My last blood sugar was 221 post dinner. I feel really tired and run down for some reason.....hhhmmmm

i'm kind of hoping "no news is good news." he usually mentions something almost right away if it falls through. transplants are serious business, so here's to hoping he's recovering and adjusting to a new non-d life! maybe paul knows? i haven't seen paul on here for awhile though, either...
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
Hi guys,
I'm sorry, I should have reported this soon. The last I heard from Frank he HAD received a successful transplanton June 6th..
I received this email from him last week and am expecting a phone call once he's released from the hospital.
Paul: How are you doing? Well, I hope well because I hadn't see any posts before my big event. On Mother's eve , I was called for the transplant-canceled because of donor pancreas having a large hematoma. Two weeks later, yet another call that produced still another cancellation. Finally,I was called for the third time in four weeks on June 6 and was successfully transplanted that night. The treatment will my informant, needs me to caa you. I'll call when I get released next week Frank Sent from my iPhone
Paul
Hey, come on, is there really a candy bar worth dying for?
Act always as if the future of the Universe depended on what you did, while laughing at yourself for thinking that whatever you do makes any difference.
Yeah, Frank! Woohoo!!!
Thanks for passing it along, Paul.
