Mates - I am a reformed diabetic at this point. Pancreas and kidney done together on June 7. Pancreas doing fantastic. Kidney developed a hematoma requiring second surgery on 11th. Recovery, rehab, and now a kidney biopsy on Monday delaying my release until middle of next week. I'm still with you and hav dispensation to stay with you which I will. I'll get back with you the end of next week. Keep well!!

Congratulations on your successful transplant. You had me a little worried when I didn't hear from you earlier in the week.So how's it feel? I guess you're not pumping anymore, but do you still have to check your blood sugars once in awhile?Do you get any lows still? What kind of rehab will you need? So many questions... but I'm sure everyone on Juvenation iscurious. If this is "the cure" it's too bad there aren't enough donor pancreases to go around to everyone with T1.Perhaps they can figure out a way to artificially "clone" pancreases... shouldn't be too difficult :)

6.5 this morning, 5.6 now. so far one of the only things monday isn't messing with..
My first day on a new job treated my bg well. lots of adrenaline spiked me this morning, but i corrected, and it came down alright. 93 last i checked. it helps my bg level (but not my energy level) that i haven't eaten all day...
My lastest bg was 145!......thats really good for me!...lol
Man, take a few days off, and you miss so much.... congrats to Frank!!!
