My daughter had the same problem - she chose to carry an insulin pen in her purse and leave the pump at home. If she ate she used the pen to bolus.
I know they make straps that go around the thigh.
If it's a long dress, you could try hiding the pump in your stockings, a la Kerri Sparling: http://sixuntilme.com/blog2/2008/02/where_do_i_hide_my_insulin_pum.html , or hide it in the top of your hose, like Lee Ann Thill: http://www.thebuttercompartment.com/?cat=14 I tend to do the latter, too - but only if you've got a waterproof pump. Dancing + unbreathable dress fabric + sweating = pump malfunction. It's happened to me.
Hope you have a great time! :)

For my wedding dress, I had a seamstress sew in a soft fabric pouch (in the center of my chest). She put a hole in the bottom corner of the pocket for the tubing to go through. It worked perfect. I danced up a storm & didn't have a problem with sweating or it falling out or anything. Good luck & have fun!
I bought a garter and just clip my pump to that, works wonders!

I am on a Animas OneTouch Ping since July 2009.
it doesnt move at all?
hmm awesome!
thanks =)
awesome idea!
i never even had thought of that!
i know the exact right person who could do that easily and quickly!
thanks so much!!
Several boy-cut style panties have pockets in them. Depending on the style of your dress, you may be able to keep the pump in the pocket.
T1 since age 10. Pumping since 2009.
For my sisters wedding last year the dress was also a more body hugging dress but I asked the seamstress there to put a small pocket right about the thigh level it worked perfect. I could put my pump in there and also use my clip to make sure it didnt fall and out and hit the ground where as no one ever knew it was there besides the people of course that already knew I had it. It works though :) Good luck
Allie =) it doesnt move at all? hmm awesome! thanks =)
It'll move, but that really doesn't bother me that much. I've actually just recently found another great way to hide the pump. My boyfriend goes to the gym everyday and so he has a ton of underarmor clothing. He actually has the tight spandex boxers that fit pretty tightly against the legs. You could always wear these over top of the garter idea to keep the pump from moving around, and the garter will give you the support so the pump doesn't fall!
awesome!
i have spandex that i was going to wear but you can see lines sooo were going to buy the kind that like comes up to your stomach that way theres like no lines!
=)
Aww good!!! I hope you find some that work for you!! Since posting this I've secretly stolen a pair of my boyfriends ua boxers. He had his laundry laying on the bed yesterday and I was sitting there folding his stuff and decided he had too many... :)
haha nicee!

I wear skirts everyday to school (uniform) so i clip it to side of my underwear and just put the spandex shorts over it so it doesn't move. I have been doing that for two years and it has worked perfectly..
