  • Just to make this more fun, I was just reading about a new diabetes class(?). I appears that some people with type 1 have no pancreatic islet-related autoantibodies. It happens suddenly, DKA and low a1c.  Japanese, Korean and Caucasian, so far.

Weird, just when I thought I had this somewhat figured out, boom they throw us another loop!! LOL What do you think????

  • This is very interesteing. I have only gone int DKA when i was dxd and when my pump broke (not severely though), so I never understood how some people could go into DKA when they were still taking insulin. I guess this shows even more how EVERYONE's diabetes is different.
